๐ First 5 Minutes
- Check home thoroughly: closets, beds, appliances, vehicles, pools, neighborsโ yards
- Gather key info: time/location last seen, clothing, emotional state
- Call 911 immediately. Use AMBER Alert if applicable
๐ First Hour
- Assign search areas, secure childโs room, contact friends, start log
- Share photos, physical details, medical info with law enforcement
๐ 2โ4 Hours
- Notify extended family, school, doctor, community orgs
- Share identifying records: fingerprints, dental, videos
๐ Within 24 Hours
- Confirm NCIC entry, contact NCMEC, coordinate law enforcement updates
- Prepare for potential media and community outreach
๐ Ongoing & Special Cases
- Continue contact with investigators, maintain awareness campaigns
- Customize response for children with special needs or potential abductions
